I'm a screw-up!

I feel like a total screw-up. I was SUPPOSED to have my interview at Fry's this morning. But I didn't account for the bus time, so I missed the interview. Turns out that it IS a big deal. I guess they only do "first interviews" one day a week. So the Latina twit assistant in human resources said that she'd have to CALL me to schedule me for the next time.

(To be read with as much sarcasm as one can muster.)

Imagine that - missing a job interview really is a big deal! Whoda thunk it??

This is the kind of thinking that earns "the beachy place" its reputation as La La Land.

most people in los angeles aren't like that, and m is from the east coast, isn't she?

seems like you are being prejudiced and opinionated by calling the "Latina" a "twit." If she wasn't useful to you or you couldn't get something out of her, then she is a twit?
I wonder if you would call a Jewish woman from your shul a "twit"?

Damn, girl, you get more anonymous comments that anyone I know. Doesn't anyone around here have the guts to use a name?

Obviously missing the interview is points off even if it does re-schedule. Any news on the east-coast job?

I am kind of glad that you missed the interview. Maybe now you can get back to your more interesting and destrictive lifestyle. If you worked at the Electronics place you would likely have landed in the big house. Which, given your past tendencies might have made for some good entries (no pun intended) if you had access to a computer in the lock up. Oh, and an open letter to those people wishing to lock you away for other less clear reasons, i assume pretending to stalk your ex, please stop, this is a wonderful form of entertainment and i need my daily fix. I am sure that we woudl all like an update though on your potential guvment job?

losing the job was a blessing in disguise, considering your shoplifting history, m. why tempt fate? and remember the latina twit assistant was dealing with someone who missed her first interview because she forgot about bus travel and then probably had an attitude (if your opinion of her showed in your behaviour or expression at all). i don't think she was an idiot for not having a solution that satisfied you. if you were on your toes and even wanted this job at all, you would've found a way to be there on time.

if you're moving back east anyway, why not just focus on that instead of interviewing up and down for a temp job you don't even know you'll last two weeks in?

i have to say, though, that i'm riveted. can't wait to see where this is going or where it'll end up. m, you need to snap out of this haze. i think you're so far removed from reality, and if the medication isn't helping, you need to switch or get further help or something. your train of thought, sense of entitlement, boundary problems, self-sabotaging and perspective are far outside of normal, or even on the fringe of normal or just plain weird--they're nearly almost mental and sick.

you know that i've read your blog for a long time. i even like you, for god's sake--and a few months ago, you gave two kcrw movie tickets to 'the sea inside'. i'm honestly worried about you and i'm just telling you like it is. i wish it was something you wanted to hear instead, but i hope a non-anonymous comment from a long time reader that echoes some of the other sentiments that your other readers have been expressing, will help catalyse some change for you, m.
