Where is my mind?

Frank Black hijacked it.

I bought a ticket today for the "sold out" Pixies show on June 3. Bought from the theatre where the show is going to be. When I got to the theater, the ticketseller said that ALL shows are sold out, except the new midnight show. But when he asked how many tickets I needed and I replied "1", he offered to sell me a ticket for the "sold-out" 7:30 show on Friday night. Just so I don't have to come downtown, alone, at midnight!

Lucky!

I'm so excited, can't stop thinking in Pixies' quotes! La la love you... I think The Pixies, circa the mid-90's, was the last band I liked that wasn't just computer music!

The ticket wasn't cheap or discounted. $45 for general-admission floor seat..

still have the IPod?
The Pixies on it yet? what else is on it and are you enjoying it? have you downloaded a lot of songs yet to the IPod?

How did you come up with $45 for the ticket?

Yes, I still have the gift-from-God Ipod. The Ipod is still charged, but otherwise untouched! No desktop here to transfer songs to the Ipod.

I had the cash for the Pixies ticket because my mother sold my car on the east coast, and she sends me money from the car sale, whenever I ask.

so, you, an un-employed, ex or current escort and clepto-extraordinaire, truly believe you're entitled to a night out? to go to a concert like normal, hard-working people who work for a living? especially when you're living in some kind of shelter the tax-payers are paying for? you've got some nerve... the sooner you're buried in a Jewish cemetery, the better off the rest of the civilized world will be. thank you and good-night! i'll be here all week -- try the veal!

Except for the "buried in a Jewish cemetary" part I agree w/anonymous. There are some of us who are not going to any concerts this summer b/c we have real expenses. Shouldn't your car money be used to pay for some necessities or bills? Gee you could even use some of that money to get help...now there's a novel idea....Please note that my sarcasm and bitchiness comes from the heart.

noticed the comment from depeche mode and ditto! also agree with anonymous, except don't agree with "buried..." part of comment. seems a bit harsh for a clearly sick and depressed M. although it may help her to realize she needs to get better. (yet it seems to me M. is doing a good enough job at killing herself and her chances for a good life)
tell us what is meant by "try the veal" (besides being so not P.C.)?

After all this I hope you are listening dear M and not just reading these comments and blowing them off. Your readers including me really do care and want to see you get well. The ? is do you want the same thing?

are you busy voting for mayor today?
have you made yourself a legal, currently legitimate taxpayer of "the beachy place"?
if so can assume you voted for A.V. and not Mayor Hahn? who does your radio station support?

In reading your blog, so many items have my attention and concern.

You mentioned more than three months ago you were starting the pill or perhaps Seasonale. Did you ever actually begin either? As you know, the pill requires being refilled every month, whereas Seasonale requires being refilled every three months. If so, are you continuing to take it? Which did you opt for and how do you feel about it now? (Considering you have not blogged about it, I can only assume you either forgot about it or you were very happy with you choice. Just curious about this.) You have mentioned your other meds, but not this again.

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you, but being consistent with all your meds is going to be important for you to get better.

Yup, Dr. Don, taking the Seasonale every morning. And no babies yet! But then again, haven't had sex since I moved into this "adult residential facility"!

still a Treo girl! And no, I can't vote for mayor, as I don't LIVE where there's a mayoral election today!

Looks like you are getting up early based on your post. How do you really spend your days?
Based on what you have written here, you do live where there was a mayoral election yesterday, and A.V. is the first Latino mayor in over 100 years! Time to celebrate and rejoice in minorities!
Why don't you realize where you live or what is going on around you?

Why no posts for days?

Are you really ok. and no sex, find that hard to believe... so tell us a little of the "sexcapades" you have gotten into while hanging out at this facility, or when you have been on the bus, looking, talking, whatever...
Any gangsta brothas?

I DON'T live in Los Angeles!!! But if I could have voted, Antonio Villaragosa would have been the way to go!
Yes, I've really been living without sex for a month or so. It IS possible to do.
I spend my days at the library, or exploring the area where I'm living.
